Well, the premiere is over and it was really awesome. It was filled with hilarious lines and endless comedy. The episode started out with Michael hitting Meredith with his car causing her to have a cracked pelvis. The Office employees decided to visit her in the hospital where Michael makes a series of blunders. Everyone comes back to the office where it seems that Angela’s cat has died according to Dwight but she believes that Dwight actually killed the cat which will probably cause many problems in their relationship.
In the midst of all this happening, Pam and Jim explain that they went on a couple of dates but that they are still single and looking for love. However we later see that this is only a facade and that they are actually dating regularly. We witness them give each other a kiss in the car and then later holding hands.
Michael then tries to organize a 5K Fun Run in the hopes to raise money for rabies. The Office staff are their usual selves by catching taxi cabs half way through the race and other various obnoxious behaviors. Michael quit in the middle of the race because of his carb overload on fettuccine alfredo but then Jim and Pam managed to talk him to the end of the race. Andy’s nipples were bleeding because of race chaffing. Everyone finished the race and the episode ended with Michael being in the hospital due to dehydration near Meredith’s room and they end up being friends.
However, the best part was the union of Pam and Jim that we have waited for over 3 years to happen. The writers of this show are so incredible because they aren’t overloading us with JAM. They are giving it to us in very small increments and that is to avoid some serious shark jumping. I don’t really care because I absolutely am in love with the Jim and Pam relationship and I could watch them together forever.
I rate the premiere an A+
