No Office Tonight

Due to the three-hour series finale of ER, there will be no episode of The Office airing this evening.  Guess we’ll have to wait another week to find out if Pam and Michael will be successful in starting their own paper company or will come crawling back to Dunder Mifflin.

Tonight on TBS you can find the hour-long episode of “Dunder Mifflin Infinity” start at 10pm/9c.  The only catch is there is an episode of My Boys airing in between the two parts.  The second half of the Office hour-long will begin at 11pm/10c.

Two Weeks Review

I just want to say, that if I worked in the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch and Michael had given his two weeks notice, I would pray that I had two weeks’ worth of vacation time available.

Like the office workers, I was surprised to ifnd that Michael could act worse at his job than normal.  And I’m having trouble swallowing the fact that Pam would follow Michael into developing his own business.  I can understand not wanting to be a receptionist anymore and that Pam has the tendency to consider herself Michael’s mother, but I don’t see her going this far.

Neither of the actors are leaving the show, we’ll have to see how Micahel and Pam find their way back in the office.  In the mean time, let’s hope the new VP isn’t so annoyed by being fought over by Angela and Kelly (my favorite element of tonight’s episode) to put more employees in positions they are not all suited for like Kevin answering phones and Stanley being in charge of productivity.

5×21 – Two Weeks

Written By: Aaron Shure
Directed By: Paul Lieberstein

Synopsis (NBC): Michael’s relationship with the new vice-president (guest star Idris Elba) becomes increasingly tense, as Michael finds an excuse to goof off even more than usual.  Meanwhile, Pam faces the challenge of a new copier and Kelly develops a crush.

Tonight on TBS

Tonight on TBS you can find the season 4 opener, “Fun Run”, starting at 10pm/9c.  Maybe I should rewatch this episode since my cousin wants me to help design a t-shirt similar to the ones the office workers wore during the 5k for a fun run she and her fiance are having the weekend of their wedding.

“New Boss” Review

I didn’t expect to enjoy this episode too much.  That’s not a slam against The Office; it has more to do with the fact that Battlestar Galactica is ending tonight.  And I just had a mental image of Dwight reacting to that–not pretty.

But, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I did enjoy this episode.  Maybe it was Jim acting like a kid who is getting in trouble by the new teacher, or Kelly and Angela fighting over the new VP, or maybe it’s the possibility of Michael stepping away from the office.  Don’tget me wrong, Steve is great, especially in this role.  But I wonder sometimes if there isn’t a creative limit on the show because of his presence.

Guess we’ll find out what’s going to happen with next week’s episode, “Two Weeks”.
